Skye's performance at the NADAC agility trial today was unbelievable! He
won nine ribbons, five placements, four perfect qualifying legs, and two
new titles, all in one day! He placed first in Jumpers Agility Novice Level,
completing his NJC title, went on to run two more no fault legs in Jumpers
Agility Open Level (placing fourth in each) and winning his OJC title! He
then went on to a perfect Novice Gamble, earning yet another leg! Nancy
Gyes, Jim Basic, and Tammy Wiebe were cheering us on and others were actually
congratulating us with words like "Incredible! You ran three perfect
jumpers legs in one day!?" This on top of Caper's HCT at Pescadero
yesterday made this a weekend never to be forgotten.
Agility is quickly becoming Skye's forte. For those of you who know him
and his youthful escapades, picture a more mature Skyedance whose focus
on Jack is so perfect while he is running, that he doesn't even bark, unless
he's asking Jack for clearer directions. (Picture a more mature Jack, too!)
Skye wants you to know that his new name is Ch. Melita Skyedance, HC, HCT,
NA, OJC, CGC. He also wants to know when he will have his own e-mail address.
We told him that "Skyedance" is already taken by a skydiver.
