Nakiska is native american and means "where friends meet".
When we lived in Calgary, Canada we often drove to the mountains
and in the foothills was a ski area with that name.
We always said that it would make a beautiful name for a dog.
Although more suitable for a nordic breed like a husky,
we did decide that this was going to be her name.
